Incremental

Friday’s and Monday’s runs are in the bag. The Babbel account has been restarted so my Spanish lessons can begin in earnest, and the guitar is restrung and tuned—there is nothing to it but to do it. All in all, it was a productive weekend. If I can find a way to increase my energy level, I might start getting things done. I need to spend more time post-run stretching; currently, I just kind of collapse. I also need to spend some time working on my diet. I’m sure eating better or more correctly for running will help—proper fuel for the machine and all. That’s the gist of the personal stuff.

Professionally, I have to do the CE on my CompTIA A+ certification this year by August. I want to upgrade and get Network+, so now is the time to start on practice tests and refreshers for that. I’ll start that process this week. I plan to investigate options for a Master’s, if only to not be the only one of my siblings without one. I’d also like to do another rebuild of the Local’s website without Elementor. I think I’ve got enough experience under my belt to come up with something more attractive and much faster than what I currently have cobbled together.

You may have noticed that the blacks on the site are slightly less stark. Also, the Homepage’s welcome message is larger. I plan on researching typography as soon as I get an idle moment. Tying together a theme for fonts, sizes, etc, should help give the site a little more personality. I’ve come to like the stripped-down layered look I’ve been building towards. On a more personal note, I fried my watch during my Monday run. Sweat buildup did in my “Active Sports Watch,” so there is no truth in advertising there. I’m not going to let that stop a thing, though. I’m still working on that sign-off.
