So this place is getting a little more cozy a little less rigid. Round the borders of everything. Make them smooth and sexy. Embiggen the site title in the Header. Drop all the black borders and let things flow more naturally. I’m less in love with my particular bland shade of gray. But I’ll let it ride for now. Since the grand plan is to find some telescope with public images I can use and cobble together a background image rotator plugin or Cron job whatever works, the gray might suit my needs. The gray could be perfect and the white and black need to be softened a bit, they are extremely stark. That’s the design side all finished. I’m getting more familiar and comfortable using the tools WordPress has available, speeding up how quickly I can put pages and posts together. This new familiarity has me considering putting together a template for my little sandwich setup. I intend to hold off on that though until I’m a little more fluent in WordPress Block and Template manipulation.
On to the run. My performance is remarkably and depressingly consistent. Or that’s what I thought originally looking at the numbers. Until I saw my average beats per minute on my heart rate. Proof positive that even if I’m not getting faster just yet I am by some measurable metric getting stronger. This coupled with the fact I’m making fewer excuses and enjoying the process more I’ll take as a good sign. I do need to do a little research on ankle and tendon stretches and exercises. My right heel and ankle are usually pretty tender the day after. I think the decision to more slowly attempt to build up my strength was the correct one. I do believe that adding in weights is going to come sooner than originally planned working on my range of motion and my overall strength can’t be bad things.
